Bathroom Retreats Designed With Color and Personality

For Lori Savio of Home, Heart & Soul, a bathroom is never just a bathroom. It’s a chance to bring beauty, function, and personality into a space people use every day.

That was especially true in two neighboring home projects for a mother and daughter. While their tastes share a joyful spirit and love of color, Lori approached each bathroom individually, creating spaces that feel connected yet entirely their own.

In one bathroom, a hand-painted mural by local artist Dale Barattini McLin is the focal point. Delicate branches, leafy greens, tropical plants, and a graceful blue heron bring the vanity area to life with movement and imagination. Paired with bright turquoise cabinetry, warm brass accents, softly glowing sconces, and beautiful tile, the room feels like a one-of-a-kind escape.

The second bathroom tells its story through pattern and softness. Lush botanical wallpaper adds color to the walls, while a blush vanity, pale blue tile, brass fixtures, and a painted ceiling create a playfully polished space. In the shower, custom tile, soft blue accents, and detailed pattern work carry that same thoughtful energy into every corner.

Together, the two bathrooms showcase how much possibility can live in a practical space. With Lori’s intentional eye, color becomes more than decoration. It becomes a way to create rooms that feel joyful, personal, and impossible to duplicate.
